Landmarq The Producer Live Interview

Landmarq is a Producer who started out making beats while in college in 2003. Having no musical background, I lived with a few roommates who were guitarists and drummers and learned how to play both during my time with them. As a computer science major, the transition to making beats started when I was introduced to the program Acid Music. Combining music and electronics intrigued me to pursue audio production as more than just something to do when I was bored.

I started learning how to listen to music in a different way and that triggered a creative side in me that I had no idea I had. I chased those sounds and began piecing them together via the computer and music production software. But I wanted to know what everyone else thought of what I was creating. I wanted to hear opinions from people other than my friends, so I joined the YouTube community in 2007. We all know how raw people can be over the internet so I figured that would be the best way to get feedback.

The response was more than I expected, in a positive way, which fueled the fire in me to constantly improve my sound. A sound that I wanted other people to listen to and enjoy. Over time, learned a lot about audio engineering and shared what I had learned and the sounds I created on YouTube and will continue to do so as long as the people want it! I hope you guys like what you hear and I look forward to hearing what you have to say!
