King Von

King Von released his debut studio album, “Welcome to O’Block,” and it landed at No. 13 on the Billboard 200 chart. It’s was a modest but impressive showing for a young artist.

But unfortunately, just a week after his album came out, He was killed in a shooting outside a club in Atlanta on Nov. 6. The shooting happened after the 26-year-old’s album release party for “Welcome to O’Block,” a nod to the area around 64th Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive on the South Side of Chicago, where he was raised.

He was a devoted father, a deeply loyal friend, and a man who took care of his people before himself, “We are heartbroken for his family, his friends, his team, and his fans. Long live King Von.”
